This project involves visiting Whitchurch Hospital once a week to offer companionship and general conversation to adults with mental health problems. It is ideal for those interested in the area of mental health. Volunteers need to be good listeners and have a genuine interest in people. It is a volunteer’s role to engage in conversation and try to get to know the patient as a person. There will also be an opportunity for volunteers to offer their ideas for social events we can hold at the hospital for patients and volunteers to enjoy!
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.30-8.00pm
