Park Road is a community Rehabilitation unit where patients who are well enough to leave the hospital unit live independently, with the emphasis on getting used to living back in the community. Volunteers visit weekly, and as well as offering friendship also offer patients a chance to get out and about, for example to the local pub.
Working with people with mental health problems in a hospital setting is challenging; therefore this project is suited best to volunteers who can commit themselves. It is a fantastic opportunity to get experience in this area, to meet new people and generally have a great time.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5.45-7.45pm
