This project is based in the Iorwerth Jones Centre in Llanishen, Cardiff. The centre is home to 45 residents with various types of mental health issues. The centre is split into 3 wings, two for older people with mental health problems and one rehabilitation ward for older people with functional mental health problems.
Volunteers would get to know the residents through conversation and activities, and would have plenty of opportunity to get to build up a relationship with them. This role is ideal for those interested in the area of mental health, providing lots of experience and the opportunity to interact with professionals in the field.
