***APPLICATIONS CLOSED FOR 2011/2012***
Greenhill School is specifically designed for pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They are challenging pupils who are highly disruptive in mainstream schools due to their behavioural issues and as a result may have been expelled from previous schools. They need the extra attention that other schools cannot provide to help them keep focussed on the task in hand and to achieve their full potential. Currently there are 50-60 pupils aged from 11-16 years old.
Volunteers will support pupils while they take part in classroom activities. Your role will be to keep pupils on task but also to talk to them in general and to develop their communication skills. This year volunteers will particularly be helping the pupils with their literacy skills.
