Effective Teaching Workshop

Monday 10th November 2008, 5.45pm, Student Development Unit

This is an interactive and practical session designed to share best teaching practice; including ideas for a variety of different learning activities, resources and behaviour management strategies. The content has been chosen in order that the session is of use to those who are engaged in one-to-one tutoring or those who are teaching/or assisting with the teaching of larger groups. There is a particular emphasis on supporting the learning of pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and EAL (English as an additional Language).

The workshop should last approximately 1.30 hours to 2 hours and participants should leave the session with lots of practical ideas and strategies for supporting the learning of the young people they interact with.
