Sam Smith, chair of the Board of Student Volunteering Cardiff at Cardiff University was recognised as an exceptional ‘Young Leader’ is the annual awards ceremony that recognises and celebrates outstanding leaders across Wales.
As Chair of one of the largest student volunteering organisations in the UK, Sam wowed the judges for his inspirational leadership and passion for volunteering that has seen him guide the overall development of Student Volunteering at Cardiff University.
One of three finalists in his category, Sam was nominated by Andrea Dare Manager of Student Volunteering Cardiff who felt his enthusiastic, supportive and innovative leadership style which has helped so many people living in the community in Cardiff should be recognised.
