SVC Staff Team

SVC has a dedicated staff team who oversee the day to day running of the charity and offer guidance and support to our volunteers.

Adrienne Anderson – Manager

Hi, my name is Adrienne and I manage the office at SVC. My main roles are ensuring the SVC staff are supported in their roles, and assisting them with any difficulties or queries which may arise. I also work closely with the SVC Executive Board of Trustees, supporting them in their roles and ensuring the office effectively follows their wishes and vision for the charity. I also liaise with our funders, manage the accounts and seek new funding grants which suit the charity’s criteria and projects. The Project Workers do a fantastic job as the main support for our dedicated Coordinators and Volunteers, however if they’re ever busy and you need some advice or a supportive chat then please feel free to contact me. On behalf of everyone involved with SVC, may I thank you all for your support and commitment!

 Alison Davies – Project Worker

Hi! My name is Alison and I am a Project Worker at SVC. My role in the organisation is to supervise a group of SVC projects – mostly working with children and young people – to make sure they run smoothly throughout the year. I support the project coordinators for each project to help them run their projects effectively and to resolve any problems that arise. I am involved in the training of volunteers and coordinators. I am also here to support anyone involved with SVC so if you have any issues you want to discuss feel free to pop into the office for a chat and a cup of tea! I have really enjoyed my time at SVC so far and enjoy engaging with all the wonderful volunteers who make SVC a success every year. I’m looking forward to meeting many more this year so if you are interested in getting involved – whether you have volunteered with SVC before or not – feel free to come along to the office for some more information. I’ll be happy to help!

 Sarah Pritchard – Project Worker

Hi, I’m Sarah and as a project worker for SVC I supervise a sub-group of the volunteering projects and work with the co-ordinators and volunteers to ensure that these projects run smoothly.  My projects have a particularly educational focus and consist of a mix of literacy improvement schemes such as Cathays High, Corpus Christi, Llanrumney High and Whitchurch High; tutoring opportunities with the Primary School Tutoring and SMART projects; and finally a numeracy scheme at St. Teilo’s High. Co-ordinators and volunteers on these projects can pop in the office for a chat whenever you have any problems or need help or advice. Likewise if any students are interested in possibly volunteering on any of these projects feel free to visit the SVC office and ask me any questions. I also am available to help all volunteers with general office admin, such as dealing with reference forms and CRBs from all prospective volunteers and car registration forms from driving volunteers.

Lucy Curtis – Project Worker

Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m a Project Worker for SVC. I monitor the progress of Home & Away, the Mental Health projects, Thrive, Phab and Ty Celyn, and guide the project coordinators through the year. Coordinators can come to me about anything project related, whether that’s advice, help resolving a problem, or just to catch up on how they’re getting on. I’ll provide supervision sessions as well as keeping regular contact throughout the year. If you’re interested in getting involved in any of the above projects, please come in for a chat!
