It is your responsibility to check your volunteers’ references are back on a regular basis. More on References, CRB Disclosures and Identity Cards…

- Project Coordinators need to be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people including: volunteers, children and young people with and without learning difficulties, parents, professionals and the elderly both verbally and in writing.
- Forward planning skills are necessary, as is an ability to identify potential problems and act on them promptly and appropriately.
- Sensitivity is required when working with volunteers who may hold differing views, and an awareness of the need for confidentially in all matters is essential.
The SVC Staff team provides support and advice for Project Coordinators and all attend a full training weekend in September.
